Melbourne is a world class city and the food, wine and cultural capital of Australia. The capital of the state of Victoria, and second largest city in Australia, Melbourne has been rated several years in a row now as “The World’s Most Liveable City.” We think it’s a pretty spectacular one to visit, too, at all times of the year! Melbourne is also home to The Australian Open (tennis), the Grand Prix (Formula 1 racing), numerous world class festivals throughout the year, including the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
Victoria, is a veritable breadbasket of Australia, known widely for its quality food production and hand-crafted gourmet food items, farming, but also boasts a wealth of wine regions within a few hour’s drive – the Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, the Grampians, the Macedon Ranges, Bendigo, Heathcote and Coonawarra, to name a few. Only 9 hours drive to other major regions in neighbouring states are the Barossa, Eden and Clare Valleys, Adelaide Hills due west in South Australia, and the Hunter Valley north in New South Wales. Our tours will begin in this region of the country, expanding to other over time.
